This headgear is well constucted, but like all steel cage heargear, it is just too heavy.I prefer the plastic cage headgear. they offer better visibility and a lighter weight.

I am using this gear and didn't notice the weight at all.
Also disagree with the visibility comment, much better than plastic, clear or otherwise.
Plus its removable, so you have options. well built.
