I didn't feel the finger loops, or the gloves as a whole were very protective. I had to use my everlast grappling gloves on the heavy bag for a while, and found them much more protective. After one workout, my right knuckle was throbbing and has had chronic pain for the past 3 weeks now. I threw one hard right hook with these gloves, and had to stop after damaging the knuckle. The padding is there, but your hand isn't secure inside the glove. I have been training for 2 years now, and have never had this bad a setback with my hands. Do not use this product for any heavy strikes on a bag.
