These pads are not meant to replace traditional thai pads as they can't without the same force. However, I'm not reviewing them in that light. These are superior pads for the money -- a great value. They can withstand vary hard kicks especially when moving. We use these when the pad-holder is moving around and changing target positions for the trainee. For speed drills they are terrific given that they are light and easy to move around quickly. A great value.
