I bought these in search of a decent set of pads for a reasonable price and I got exactly what I expected. I train thai twice a week (1 hour class) and these are more than sufficient for my needs. I do agree (with the below post) that they do not absorb much impact which could give your head a little rattle, but whether or not that will bother you depends on how often you use them. Permalink

Maybe I am just spoiled with real thai pads from Thailand?????? I am 24 yr old female. I am 125ish lbs, 5'4" Certified Muay Thai instructor.
These pads have thick padding inside, but it's in my opinion the improper kind of padding. The foam padding inside these pads do not absorb any of the force. I hold Thai pads on a daily basis for men and women of all ages and sizes. Strong kicks and weak kicks. Improper kicks and proper kicks and never had any issues with headaches. The first time of holding these pads with a male with strong legs, my head was ringing and I got a bad headache within the second kick. The idea of the pads are good, but the quality is AWFUL! I picked these up a while back and have been using them a few times a week ever since. They hold up pretty well. They are thick and well padded. The price was good and the shipping wasnt too painful, which is nice because these things are big. Overall the quality is good and its a good deal. Permalink
